Shea
Butter Skin Care Tips
Shea
butter is one of the best treatments for dry and sensitive skin
available from nature. Full of vitamins, nutrients, and protective
antioxidants, pure and natural shea butter rejuvenates skin and
restores healthy suppleness and softness. Dry skin loves pure natural moisturizers
with an abundance of rich creamy shea butter to protect skin from the moisture robbing elements, while
providing rich nourishing moisture that helps to skin to look smooth,
soft and radiant.
Shea
butter does not trigger skin allergies, and is gentle enough for the most sensitive skin.
It also helps to improve skin texture and elasticity. The
melting point of shea butter is equal to body temperature, which
allows shea butter to melt upon contact with skin.
End
Dry Skin with these Beauty Tips:
-
First of all, cut back on long
hot baths and showers. I know how marvelous these
feel, but you are removing precious oils from your
skin. Warm water is best, and try not to bathe/shower for
more than 5 minutes.
- Use natural vegetable
soaps. These soaps are made from pure vegetable oils and
provide gentle but effective cleansing. Natural Shea Butter
soaps are gentle to skin and provide moisture rich cleansing
making them an excellent choice for dry and sensitive skin.
- Pat your skin dry gently with a
towel after bathing or showering rather than rubbing.
- Apply
shea butter while skin is still damp to
help seal in moisture. Shea butter moisturizers with a high
percentage of shea butter (20 to 100%) are the best for dry skin.
- Don't scratch itchy skin.
Try misting skin with rose or lavender water and immediately
apply shea butter to the misted area and
massage into skin. You will be amazed at how fast the
itching stops!
- Increase the humidity in
your home, especially your bedroom with a humidifier, or bowls
filled with water. When using bowls of water, just be sure to add more water to
the bowls as it evaporates, and clean and refill bowls with
fresh water every few days to prevent mold and bacteria growth.
