During the processing of karite (shea) nuts to produce shea butter, 2 oils are produced, an oil that solidifies and becomes shea butter, and an oil that floats to the top and remains liquid, shea oil.  Shea butter oil is a lighter moisturizer than shea butter, but contains all the vitamin rich nutrients for effective dry skin care.
